  Well I've been back from Chicago for like 3 weeks now. Overall it was a really good vacation; I had a ton of fun with Shawn and his friends and never really found myself bored or angry (I love branching out and doing random stuff that I don't normally do). The only real regret I have is that the two people who went with me, Kenny and Stephanie, seemed less than amused throughout most of the week. I imagine if I hadn't been paying for everything — and in charge by default — that they would've found better stuff to do. Whatever. I still really want to go back again. Hell, throughout the trip I kept thinking how much I would love living out there.

  I also got a tattoo on my forearm. I really love it, but I knew I would. Had the design on my computer for over a year and always thought 'that would be so amazing as a tattoo!' I guess that the process was a bit more rushed than I would've liked because I didn't have the opportunity to really talk to the artist about the execution. It turned out great, though (aside from being horridly over-charged for it).

• Meet & Greet

  WOW. I can't beleive today. It has just been so amazing..must type the story so I never forget!

  Yesterday at school, before my last class, I decide to randomly check my email and to my surprise I had won one of the 5 spots for a meet and greet from EvClub!! I was almost shaking. I felt like such a dork >.<'

  So I got at the Paramount today at about 4 and met up with a few people from evboard/evthreads/etc. and we chated for a while in line. Joey (HybridClone) and I waited at Will Call, where they told us to meet for the meet and greet, and met up with the rest of the winners. They told us to wait in front of the doors and someone would let us in.

  Amy's bodyguard dude came out and we all instantly recognized him. He checked our names and let us in (along with about 15 or so other people that radio stations had let in as well).

  They lined us up and told us that the band would come by and sign stuff and then we could get a picture. They handed out little postcards with album art and the band promo shot. At that point I saw John in the doorway and rocky was behind him. THAT is when I started to get all nervous

  The rest of the band came out and started signing stuff. I was in about the middle of the line, so I waited in anticipation for what seemed like forever. some girl a few people back was having a moment and by the time John got to her he was like "woah, are you going to be ok?" and then she started crying. He gave her a hug and I think it almost pushed her over the top.

  Amy finally got to me and the first thought in my head was "woah, she is a LOT shorter than I thought!" I opened up my poster for her to sign. I was like "just sign it anywhere...uhh..." and she asked my name. The bodyguard dude told her that we were from EvClub and that made her seem to perk up and notice us a bit more. I asked her if I could hug her and she was like "aww, sure!" and I got myself a nice Amy hug (Katya, you're right! Amy hugs are the best!).

  John was behind her. I wasn't thinking or I would've asked him for a hug too. Oh well.. I got his signature, said thanks and shook his hand. Next was Terry and he was really quiet. I just had to thank him for letting me listen to the new stuff a few weeks before the leak. He recognized me and said a simple "no problem, man!" Next was rocky. He signed my poster and gave me one of those "hey" nods. I was about to roll up my poster and then Tim came by (I can't beleive I almost forgot about him! ) He seemed a bit shy and unsure about the whole situation, and I was still in shock from the rest of the band, so I really didn't say anything to him.

  Amy and the guys collected at the other end of the theater and we all took our turns getting pictures. Ahh...I love being included in a band picture!! and I didn't look like a total dork, either! YAY!

  After all the pictures and stuff, the meet & greet fans were allowed to sit in the lobby for sound check and stuff, which made me happy because it gave me a chance to stake out the merch (got myself a cool light grey shirt with the fun tree logo like is on the sticker pack from the official store) and talk to the fellow EvBoarders some more.

  the concert was amazing. Revalation Theory was pretty good, but the endless sea of Ev shirts was demanding Evanescence. Amy has certainly gained a nice stage presence since the last tour. Her vocals were amazing too. She's gotten a lot braver with the higher parts of songs. I loved how both bands were complainaing about the altitude! Psh! thinner air makes you stronger I guess

  Anyway, I can die happy now.
