However, about three weeks ago is when it started to get interesting. My mother is a recovering alcoholic and she's been sober for quite sometime until her husband decided to give her a beer or two to help her sleep after she had taken xanax. The first thought that came to my mind after he told me that was "You stupid moron, she's an alcoholic and she had taken her meds, don't give her the beer." I only stated part of that sentence and things just got worse from there. My mother was arrested for DUI. What makes it worse is the fact she's on probation and drinking is a violation. As a grand total her three charges were, violation of probation, DUI, and assaulting a police officer. Yes, according to the cops she assaulted them when they tried to arrest her. She spent ten days in jail. I guess you can consider her lucky but she was let off and put on another probation and had her license taken away for the next five years.
During that time period, I punched her husband, Carl, iin the face and I might have broken my knuckle. I also had my ship date for the Army pushed back to 6/25 so that I can complete my Senior year.
